I am still entertaining this idea of connecting to dashcam from Raspberry Pi. Another way besides USB could be a WiFi.
I was wondering if anybody tried it.
I am still waiting for my B1W to arrive.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experience!
Mark.

You can do it, that is what the App does, but I don't know what protocols it supports. It is not a true Novatek processor so doesn't support the same protocols that other Novatek dashcams do.

Thanks Nigel!
My guess, I'd have to wait till my dashcam arrives to verify it.
Cheers,
Mark

Got my B1W Yesterday. Worked out of the box (no wonder). Cooked it for a day from USB PS in the house.
Tried to connect to WiFi from my PCs - no joy :-(
Did some research on Micro SD to SD card extender cable and SD WiFi cards.
Idea is to connect to SD WiFi from RPi installed in a car and copy files from camera.
I was wondering if anybody had any experience with that?
If it works - then parking mode is not required at all as all can be programmed from RPi.
It's easy to set RPi with say, 250Gb SSD and download all files to home WiFi from garage.
Best of all, two B1W (front and rear) can be set to do the job.
If RPi monitor is used - all footage can be checked right in a car. Not a live footage, but recorded and stored on RPi.
B1W will stop recording once access to the files (list or view) requested by the iOS/Android app. My guess is B1W don't have enough resources to write and read SD card at the same time.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Its processor DDR 512Mb, not sure if it will be enough or not.
