Hi all,
I have a Thinkware FA200.
I recently acquired a new vehicle, so I decided to move the hardwired camera from the old vehicle to the new one today.
Now, I am using the stock Thinkware hardwire kit. It is hooked into two add a fuses, which I have attached 15 amp mini fuses. I realize these fuses are a higher amperage than required, but it worked fine in my old vehicle.
So, I attached the two add a fuses into empty circuits on my fuse box. I of course checked first for which circuits have power continuously vs which has switched power.
Then, I plugged the dashcam in. Oddly enough, it told me " continuous recording now starting" when it should have been in parking mode (accessory power was not on yet).
I unplugged the dashcam and played around with the wiring a bit more. When I went to reconnect the dashcam, it was totally dead and unresponsive. Nothing works, I tried connecting it in different circuits, checked that all the wires are attached properly etc. The ground is connected perfectly. Just the camera won't turn on.
Anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong?
Thanks!
