Did I receive a Street Guardian SG9665GC v3 or an older version?

I got the Street Guardian SG9665GC v3 from amazon as my first dash cam. How can I confirm if I really received a v3 and not an older version?

Is it the same hardware with a different firmware version? Or it has something physically different? The box only says SG9665GC and the camera itself only has a numeric serial number at the bottom.

it will be a V3, any stock of V2 ran out about 8 months ago, V2 never came with a CPL filter either

But there should be a way to confirm, right? Maybe something in the camera serial number or in the camera menu?

the clip on CPL filter is V3 only, the box sleeve will have V3 printed on the back above the bar code, serial number will tell us which version you have, probably won't mean anything to you though

we've run out of stock enough times to know that Amazon couldn't have any V2 stock left 8 months after the V2 finished

Check the lens housing - if there's a small slot on the top and bottom for the CPL it's a V3.
