Disappointing video at highest setting

I have just received my camera and tried it in the can and hotel and the video at the highest setting is poor and grainy. When i tried it in the hotel i got artefacts all across the screen with the portions of the vides dragging across.

What is the best all round video, does the hacked firmware make any difference or do I have a bad unit.

Low light indoor videos are very noisy with my camery too but outdoor is fine, so i guess it is a question of settings. Maybe someone has a good script or other tips.

OK thanks, will try some action shots in daylight on friday. I did notice that the quality when using in the car during the day were not that good, i am using a good quality car class 10

First of all you need to manually modify bitrate to at least 20 mbps for 30 fps mode.
Difference in videos taken in motion is pretty huge.
