If you take price out of the equation , and looking at the three listed dashcams . which one would give you the best picture day and night , and the ability to continuously record as well as the timed segments.
I see that the DOD is 60fps compared to 30 on the other two and given that a lot of my driving is at night on open ( unlit ) roads does this make a diferrence ?

60fps on Dod and most present day mid-price range dash cameras is fake ( except iSaw and GoPro Hero series, which are not as dash cams as sports / action cameras ),
60fps is double-frames, - just commercial trick. In reality it is 30fps individual frames.

Lukas LK7900 is your best choice from listed, but never tested it side by side with other named dash cams.
It has advantage over other dash cams: up to 128Gb memory card expansion and now OBD-module can be bought separately as well.

Also very good night and day video + high quality product is Panorama2 from Powerucc.

Day time comparison with Dod LS300W, which from video quality point of view is same as LS430W

Thanks Niko , for the advice and the heads up re the 60fps.
The Panorama 2 does not seem to come across too well on vid quality so I think I will go with your recommendation for the Lukas as it is also available from a local seller .

I disagree with you @ " ... The Panorama 2 does not seem to come across too well on vid quality " . You probably watched youtube videos. It's never recommended making a full judgement from youtube videos, - they are compressing files.
You have to download RAW video files to get real result.

The only way to say what is best and what is not, is make a side by side tests. Only then can tell.
From my experience and also following some major Korean forums, I can assume that Lukas-LK7900 will have same video quality as Panorama2.
Panorama2 has some other advantages over Lukas, as well as Lukas has some others over Panorama2, but by video quality day / night I would put them into same category.

On Lukas I like ability to use up to 128Gb memory card and now OBD module as well.
Also option of having a CPL filter.
Don't like: - it does not have a screen and it is much higher in price than Panorama2.

From point of view of video quality,- they should be equal. After that everybody can chose what other options / functions they are prioritising and of course having local Lukas dealer is a big advantage.Myself also buying ( if possible ) high-priced electronics locally in case of warranty issues.

So from the list of dash cams you have in your title ( dod, finevu, lukas ), I would also go with a Lukas.

If you go to your local dealer to buy it, please ask when OBD device will be available, because non of my Korean contacts has them yet.
