2017 DOD Tech Models
Hi everyone,

DOD have released their first major update (more to come) for Parking Mode improvements for users.

More info: http://www.dod-tec.com/PMP3.0_EN/index.html

PMP 3.0 now available.

Customers can download the firmware accordingly from the DOD website below for the corresponding models:
RC500S/LS500W/ LS475W/ LS475W+
http://www.dod-tec.com/index.php/download/

The further improvements can also be found in the patch notes when downloading the above firmware.

For further details, please see the following link.

As you can see,
- the auto event detection is our original parking mode;
- the high-res in mini size is the "low-bit rate mode" we mentioned, recording everything at a lower bit rate without losing quality;
- the time lapse mode allows users to get hold of what happened in the past 12min by checking out a 2min clip.

Thank you!

Isn't this feature already included in the new firmware (20180131X) for the RC500S, or must it be separately installed? Also, I don't see any mention of pre-event buffering in parking mode.

"Auto Event Detection" - nicely highlighted a man and a car. I would glad to know if it covers also a bug causing recordings of events triggered by movement of a camera's video noise. It's pretty annoying that i always have to unplug a hardwired camera in my garage, othewise overnight i end up with a sdcard full of this:

There is no pre-event buffering in 20180131X.

Actually, event recordings don't highlight the cause of the event in 20180131X.

I know that and it's not even necessary... But the algorithm could be able to distinguish if it's just a noise or actual movement.

When playing a file from a Dod-Tech LS360W in their viewer V1.I noticed that the white progress bar didn't move. Does anyone know the fix for this?
