Im now convinced that my excessive noise and windsceen reflections (pics and vid in my post in other section) is down to the crappy camera mounting.

apart from not being very adjustable, the only way to mount it leaves about a 15 cm distance between the lense and the windscreen so if i could push the camera to the front of the windscreen it should eliminate this problem (i gave up on my radiator grille idea cause trying to get 12v ACC there is too difficult)

So does anyone use a different mounting bracket/cup that might be better?

A quick check on ebay and this is the best i could come up with (as most are designed to face inwards not outwards)

the standard one that comes with the GS2000, that i believe is the same similar to most other cam mounts

There's a few different mounts that are commonly used, 15cm from the screen seems excessive, got a picture?

Think to this 2in1 mount system.

enjoy,
Mtz

that one looks better than the one that comes with the unit as it is more adjustable

but,

the bolt still has to go through that big plastic loop at the top of the cam and that restricts it getting near the windscreen

hope these work?

thats why i thought the mount i found would be better as you can take off that big plastic lump and clamp the camera top and bottom and hopefully push it forward more.

I have some double knuckled mounts which allow you to pull the cam further forward, the problem with this type of mount though is they're not as stable and you can get vibration in the video
