Does parking mode works even if connected to charger and engine is off?

Hi everyone,
bought 3 of viofo v119s for me and my parents. they are great.
i didnt use the parking mode so far, but i saw people recommending it so i had to ask-
will the parking mode work if the camera is connected to a lighter charger and the engine is off?
or does it have to be connected directly to the fuses and stuff?

camera needs power, if the lighter socket s powered when the car is off then that will work just as it would if wired to the fuse panel

I'm sure you could work out if the lighter socket has power when the key is off by checking it yourself, if the camera is working it has power, if the camera is not working it has no power

If your camera turns off when you turn off your car is a sure sign.
