Does the AV out work when the camera is recording?

Hi All,

Looking at a G1W (or 2) and wondering if the AV out works whilst driving? I'd like to fix one on the rear of the vehicle and be able to know its recording - was thinking of a cheap "reverse LCD" and mounting on dashboard.

maybe varies by version (these are not all the same, so check with your vendor before you order) but as a general rule the AV out is active while recording, the HDMI output is active for playback only
