Dash Cam
DR750S-2CH
Hello,

I am just new here, but I have a question right away on wich hopefully someone will have an answer to.

After several times of vandalism to my car, I bought a dashcam yesterday.
My choice fell on a Blackvue DR750S-2CH with a Power Magic Battery Pack.
It had been smarter to test everything before installing it, but unfortunately I haven't done that.

The problem now is that the whole device does not start up.
The blue GPS light burns a little bit, but otherwise nothing happens.
No recording, no sound, no flashing lights, no WiFi.
Besides the very little bit of blue light there is no activity at all.

What I have tried so far:
Turned on with the battery pack (with the car engine running and thus power supply).
Turned on without the battery pack (direct in the cigarette lighter with a running engine).
Installed the included SD card with a clean format and another time with the latest firmware copied on it.
Installed a different SD card with and without firmware.
Tried without any SD card installed.
Disconnect the 2nd camera.
Press the WiFi button once.
Press te WiFi button several times.
Held the WiFi button for 10 seconds.
Kept the camera energized by the battery pack, and checked again after one hour.
Of course I disconected the power supply every time I removed the SD card, or disconnected the 2nd camera.

So far, the faint blue GPS light is the only thing I've seen happening.
When I use the battery pack, I see some lights on the pack light up, so I asume there is some power consumption.

I am out of other ideas.
Maybe someone has any other option to try?
Or is it a DOA, and do I have to go back to the seller.

Thanks for the effort!

With best regards,
Lourens

From your troubleshooting it does sound like you have a faulty camera, best to talk to the seller

Thanks for your response!

I have contacted the seller today, and I could exchange the set without any problem.
And the new set did start immediately.
Just updated the firmware to version 1.007.
Now I can find out what the best settings are for me, and try out all possibilities.
I think I have a lot to learn :) .
