Drive pro 200 links to pc but wont switch on in car!I

I recently purchased a second hand Drive pro 200. When linked with my p.c it comes on and records as usual. When placed in the car it simply wont come on. To add to the confusion the bluetooth does not appear to be working and the screen gets very hot. I have tried a reset and have updated the firmware but the symptoms keep persisting. Any one got any ideas?
