I am looking to use the above setup for a parking lot where my so called neighbors (really idiots) who live in my building have door dinged the crap out of my car. Same happens in store lots. Anyway I don't wish to use it while driving I want to face it towards both doors while parked empty. So
A) I need to be able to cover both doors?
B) I also wish to eliminate use of cigarette lighter & use a USB battery charger.
C) Do you think this idea would work well, to use when I'm not in it while it's parked alone?
Thanks for any help guys.
Joe
Fyi this liked like a good one, but wish cams where not on same side. Don't think it will cover https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00WYH37CA?pc_redir=T1

Not sure if that RVM camera is suited.
1. the one camera is supposed to film out the windscreen, so not sure if it can be turned that much.

I would just put a mobius at the base of both A-pillars and then have it aimed at the B-pillar in the opposite side of the car.

Fair warning if you live in one of the hot states and park in the sun, cameras might reach temperatures where they might shut down of even worse melt.

Its okay to store cameras in the hot sun, but allso having them running can be tricky.
Allso having a USB power bank in a really hot car is not the best treatment you can offer a lipo battery, same goes for lipo batteries in cameras, for mobius you can get a capasitor kit to replace lipo batteries inside.

O and the mobius dont have motion detect of the good kind ( the prebuffering kind )
many cheaper dashcams dont prebuffer, so the footage you get is what go on after the triggering event.

Mobius on a low bitrate and say 15 FPS, can still have a lot of footage on a 64 or 128 Gb sdcard, plenty for it to be recording all the time or for as long as your power bank or daily schedule last.

1 thing thouugh, at night it will be hard to capture anything unless you are parked at a well lit spot, like directely under a street light.

Thanks but I deff want motion & night vision.

Dashcams dont have night vision like CCTV cameras, some have a fjew IR lights on them but its a sales gimmic for sup par dashcams.
The IR light will also just reflect off the window glass and blind the damera.

And a fjew 5 mm IR LEDs dont reach far anyway, to the end of your hood at best.

I have a CCTV camera at my car where its parked at home, i have to do that as its in a dark yard behind the apartment block.
But thats the real stuff turning night to day, with around 10 W of IR light.

Dont use parking guard though my car have been dinged up too, and what i have paied for this little Suzuki could buy me a nice BMW in another country but the socialist democratic kingdom of Denmark.
