I am located in the Miami area and it gets hot here. I heard that it may be important to get a dashcam with a capacitor rather than a battery to avoid over heating. Is that true?

I really like the features and reviews of the Viofo A119. I like that it is stealthy, has a capacitor, and warns you when it is not recording.

The only thing it does not have is a second camera for filming the rear, so I was wondering if there is a good duo dashcam that has similar features to the Viofo A119. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum Gmann

With the wedge form factor of the A119 and many others, and 2 cameras, then the new SG9663DC fit the bill.

And you are right, down in the hot state of Florida one would be wise to not put too much faith in a camera using a lipo battery for emergency power.

+1 on the SG9663DC ;) If you like the A119 you'll like this one as it has a very similar form-factor and features. Do avoid the battery cams regardless, they won't even take upstate SC summers and it can be even hotter there.

And welcome to DCT :D
