EchoMaster ODB II power cable issue

What seemingly was supposed to take 5 minutes has turned into a 2.5 hour troubleshooting ordeal with no results. The issue I'm having is the ignition mod is taking up to 30 minutes to switch from continuous mode (solid light) to flashing light (parking mode). I've tested this in two very different cars (2005 Mustang GT & 2013 Honda Fit) and both results the same.

How long does it supposed take to switch from Continuous Mode to parking mode? I find 30 minutes too long, and would rather go with a hardwire kit if that is the norm.

3 minutes, but that's vehicle dependent, OBD II is a connection standard but the protocols used vary, won't work in all OBD II equipped vehicles

Ok, thanks... I’ll return it and just order a hardwire cable kit.
