1) Adjust registratorviewer profile to suite the SG9665GC.
(also applies to any other NT9665X Novatek based dashcam)

2) Follow this guide on how to export a video clip.
http://www.mediafire.com/view/dp4p9gpribkz0rt/Export-files-from-Registrator-Viewer.pdf

When you export the video, check the box for subtitle.

Choose "Setup Template for Subtiles" to choose which data you want.

The actual "color, font, size, location" settings are in Youtube or VLC player itself.

Now when you upload your video to youtube, you can include this subtitle file and it will overlay your GPS data in the location, font, color, size of your choosing. (also will show up locally via VLC player)

how do you upload 2 files together to youtube?

Here's how, I used red arrows to show the step by step process. (takes less than a minute)

I don't have an actual example to post with the results of this trick so will come back to edit this with a youtube link in the near future. Note the GPS data overlaid in the resulting video will be the most accurate using this method as well, without any lag or delay.

Looks ok, What's wrong? I see your speed at the bottom. Be sure you are viewing via the full YouTube app if you're mobile.

theres the black background

I cant work it out

Wouldn't it be better if the subtitles were hard coded into the video file itself so you wouldn't have to manually enable subtitles/captions on YouTube while watching?

I don't know what sort of files SG9665GC generates but for my Samsung Galaxy S III I use XviD4PSP 5 to hard code the subtitles into the video files before editing and uploading to YouTube, then when viewing them you don't need to manually turn on the subtitles which makes it easier for the viewers and for uploading just one file instead of two.
XviD4PSP 5 is really easy to use and you don't even need to change any settings and it works just fine. All you have to do is to either open file or drag the video file into the program and press Encode button which generates new video file with hard coded subtitles. The video and subtitle file must be in the same folder for it work.

The GPS data is laggy and not nearly as accurate when injected OSD real time via the DashCam itself. The SG9665GC GPS data is invisibly embedded into the MOV file and is this method is the most accurate way for many dashcam products. It also gives you the option of leaving that data out when needed. I'm sure you can hard code the subtitles via other apps as well.

You can also use RV to create subtitles with customized time and date formats. Use %time% and %date% and the output will use the Windows regional settings (in Control Panel). A example output would be "07-Jan-16 07:44:09 AM"
