Error message with broken background

Hi,

I noticed that my SG9663DC has stopped working and is displaying the message "Please Format the TF Card", with a partially broken background as shown in the attached image. All buttons other than the power button are non-responsive. I tried formatting the old SD card and buying a new SD card but none of it seems to work. Is my camera kaput?

That spit screen is an old bug fixed awhile ago. It’s almost always resolved by updating the firmware. Eject the card and copy the .bin file from the following zip file to the card. (Via usb card reader) card needs to be FAT32 so use original card. If you formatted the card in the computer last it will no longer be FAT32. You can use a 32GB card if that’s the case.
