Just curious from a manufacturer point of view, what's the timeline for converting to usb type C connections ?

Is it an engineering issue (socket size, pin layout, etc) ? Is there a large delta in cost for the mico/mini/type C socket and associated hardware ?

I'm not a manufacturer but I would imagine any change of this type would require change in tooling, accessories, cables... All very expensive changes for no return.

Hence I asked from a manufacturer point of view. New products usually require some amount of new tooling, new stock of accessories, etc etc.

I love USB C, but really on a dashcam you are not going to unplug and plug in all the time it is not needed, but say on a phone i would not have anything else.
