Hi Newbie to the forum from the UK
I have a question about the PMP and if anyone has done what I'm think of doing.
I have just purchased the new Nissan Leaf 40kw, and I'm planning to install the Blackvue 750 2ch and PMP. Unfortunately the leaf's fuse box near the A pillar on the passengers side and I'd like to place the PMP on the Drivers side near the door. However the wire to connect the PMP to the fuse box is only about 30cm long.
I am considering extending by about 1.5m using a regular insulated copper wire. So my specific question
1, is this possible, - has anyone done it?
2, do I need any specific 'extension wire'?

I'm happy with the hardwiring process - I've done it before.
Thanks

yes. that's fine to do. just make sure that the gauge of the extension wire is the same grade or thicker so that you don't create a bottle-neck.

A common 0,75 mm2 or 18 AWG wire should be plenty, it's still flexible enough for easy placement and you'll get below 0.1 V voltage drop.
Keep in mind that you can pick the ground near the PMP install location, doesn't have to be near the fuse box.
