I have used the cam twice to record my flights.
Both times it was paced in the inside canopy using the suction holder.
The 1st time was 1 hour long actual flight time, the 2nd time about 02:45 hours of actual flight time, but the camera was turned on for about 5 hours, maybe longer.

Movie quality was quite good. Difficult to be more precise since weather conditions were bad - haze, fog, clouds... all preventing clean shots. Maybe there's a setting to deal with this (as well as with recording with the sun in front of the camera, while flying East).

The holder turned out to be very good - the camera fell only one and this was probably to a bad installation, just before we began one of the legs.

In all cases the camera did not vibrate and the picture was steady.

I have not yet used the camera for still shots.

This cam took better quality movies than a pro camera that we had installed in the airplane (the still pictures extracted from the movies were of a higher quality, although of far less resolution that the ones I take with my dedicated camera - Panasonic FZ45). The other camera did have more vivid colors, though again this might have to do with the F500LHD settings.

All in all - quite happy with it.
