F800 and HTC one m8 with android 6.0

Hi having trouble connecting my htc to my new f800. My daughter's one year old cheap samsung phone connects just fine but both my wife's and my htcs won't.
Anyone any suggestions, as I would hate to have to keep borrowing my daughter's samsung every time I want to edit my cam.

I do think those settings are already that way, but I will look into it to be sure. Thanks.
On a side note, I have an old samsung galaxy ace and it does connect through the app though video doesn't play, no mx player on it yet.

Thanks for the help guys, anyway nothing helped. It was time to upgrade my phone anyways so negotiated a great deal on the lg g7 one and all is well.
