fed up with buying replacement SD cards

Yes, KB. That's what I learnt in computer class.

Anyone remember the hidden Gorillas game in QBasic? :joyful:

That is just wrong, isn't it?

Some people use it for millibar, incorrectly!
It’s certainly not a measurement of data :)

M = mega
b = bit
B = byte

In fact I’m not sure mb means anything to anyone

One thing to watch, that has been posted here before, is that when you have an accident and you have files on the card before and/or after, search all directories on the card as that one critical file may be on there but somewhere else due to the 'thud' - high G force.
Just realised what you posted there :) :) :)

Actually, it does, it is the symbol for millibarn , a measurement of area, not sure what you use it for though, it is rather small at 10−31 m2.

Wow!
Did you know that or has Google helped all of us learn something tonight :)

What is a milli bit anyway. Digital things don't come in lesser units than one.
M=Megga - 1,000,000
m=milli =0.001
k=Kilo = 1,000
B=Byte (8 bits)
b=bit
K=Potassium or Kelvin

Well if we are going to go the whole way here.....
