I see that the latest firmware is 2.61, my new dashcam came with 2.4. Not much on Viofo website that i could find, that shows a changelog for past firmwares. Just that 2.61 does the following: Updated: Beep will be totally off, if set Beep Off in system settings.
Whats the consensus here about upgrading firmwares? Is one better than another and is there a repository for past firmwares?

I've been using Firmware 2.61 since Aug. 3rd with no issues.

I just got back from a 4 day road trip and the A119S with Firmware 2.61 worked as its supposed to.

Why do you have 08 - GPS On while 14 - GPS Stamp is OFF ?
I think it is nice to have GPS Speed embedded on clips.

I don’t need or want Speed/Coordinates but I do want the GPS to keep accurate time via the satellite.
Further, with your GPS ON and your Screen Saver lit,
you can see the GPS icon in the bottom right corner indicating by red or green the GPS status.

The GPS data will not be visible on the screen but it still exists in the video file. Some players (like Nextbase Replay 3) can show the data while playing a video.

I’m aware of that aspect,
I’m just not interested in seeing that information on my videos.
I think the GPS maintaining correct time is most important for my purpose.

I also hide the GPS info, I don't want others to see my speed ;)

What Firmware are you using?
I’ve been using V2.61 since Aug 3rd and it’s performing flawlessly.
I think Viofo has it right and I think they are wise to drop older versions from its support site.
Having the latest Firmware and most recent model micro sdhc card makes for a better operating system.
We have quite varied temps and sunlight during the 4 seasons where I live.
The A119S records in the above environment with minimal adjustments.
I adjust Time Zone twice a year and occasionally Exposure in the summer if needed.
If a person wants more from a dash cam they have to spend a lot more.
The A119S is good value for what it does for me.

I use SDHC and I know SDXC is also recommended.
Here is a link below to the SD Micro Card Association: for those who want to learn more about micro sd cards.
MICRO SD Association
I hope it gives users a better insight into the latest standards in micro sd cards.

you use micro SDHC cards in your cameras?!

Yes, I'm using Kingston Canvas Go! 32GB 90MB/s micro SDHC Memory Card, Class 10 UHS-I U3,
Here is Kingston's link to the micro sdhc cards.
Canvas Go! Class 10 Micro SDHC/SDXC Cards - 32GB-128GB | Kingston
It is recommended for dash cams, etc.
UPDATE:
I just noticed Kingston is showing XC only, however mine is an HC.
This is the Kingston link:

I bought mine in May on sale for $29, here is the link to Best Buy:

It works perfectly.

I use only 64gb & 128gb cards, don't have any smaller or bigger size for now.

If it works for you, stay the course, it's obviously meets your needs and compatible with your dash cam.
Kingston was recommended to me and Best Buy in Canada supplied the micro card I needed.
I used 32GB in my old GW1-C for 3 years and it worked well, so I stayed with 32GB for my A119S.
I wanted to retain FAT32 to be able to upgrade firmware properly..
I use 2 cards and I rotate then twice a month.

I have Windows and I'm told it is ideal to use an 8GB to 32GB with FAT32 sd card to handle firmware upgrades.
It has kept me out of trouble so far so I stick with the process.
I don't like fooling with the dash cam or settings anymore than I have to.
