how much does your gamma curve setting differ from the default settings?

Also, some other parameters that work together with the curves are corrected...

About the number of experiments I will keep silent...)

And this is not all the curves...

MOD - Vico OPIA 2 It's a big step forward. Improved clarity. More natural color.Congratulations.I wanted to sell Opia ... now I'm not selling it anymore ....( I use Google translate)

It's a big step forward
I hope to improve some more parameters over time.
I own the registrar only one day and still did not even check it on the road trip...)

Comparison 2560x1440р HDR ON and 1920x1080p HDR OFF
A frame from 1080p is scaled to 1440p...

I have a Vico MF3 ... and looking at getting another for the rear.

Is there any difference between the the MF3 and OPIA2?

MF3 is AU$35 cheaper and latest model. Major parts are the same ... so any thoughts on why one is better than the other .. or is it only the design?

Any ideas why the MF3 is cheaper than the OPIA2?

Opia2 uses capacitors, MF3 uses Lithium Cobalt Oxide battery.
Opia2 has 160 degree FOV, MF3 has 150 degree.
Opia2 has automatic switching to Parking Mode, MF3 you must press a button to transition over to Parking Mode. Both require Vico Power Plus or similar hardwire kit.

Haven't looked at the MF3 but some of the other recent models were from a different factory than the Marcus series cameras

Unnecessary resolution 1280x720p replaced by 2560x1440p without HDR.
It remains to choose more precise settings of gamma curves and parameters of exposure compensation tables...

I'm curious. We are waiting for the link.

I myself am curious...)
It is necessary to check some more moments.
After checking, I will post a link to the firmware.
In the meantime, I'm waiting for at least some original video from the early version of the mod firmware.
I need feedback to understand the further process of firmware correction.
At us weather is ugly and time yet is not present to check up firmware on road...

not many users here of this model, if you could experiment on more common model you could probably get a lot of feedback and more quickly

Sample video footage from VO2 flashed with the modified firmware below.
Video mode 1440p30 HDR, raw bitrate ~30 Mbps
No sound recorded (firmware bug? don't have camera at hand until the end of the week to verify whether I switched mic off by mistake but am pretty sure I didn't)

Enjoy:

UPDATE 1: No sound was my mistake (muted accidentally).
UPDATE 2: Raw clips available to download:

Sounds good to me on MOD1

Could someone please take a look at the Video above and tell me whether you are also getting all the pixellation going on .. I'd like to know what is doing this?
Is it because of the SD card can't write quickly enough and they need to get a better one, say with a faster U3 speed ... seeing it is a 1440p resolution ... or something else?
I don't get it on my Vico MF3 1440p Cam ... and I have a Transcend U3 SD card, although I haven't put mine on YouTube as yet.

I see a lot of this in Videos on YouTube, and this is some of the worst I have seen.

better to look at original files, YouTube re-encodes (not very well) and compresses (way too much) the file, the end result won't come anywhere near what you get out of the camera

I'll try to upload and link a couple of raw clips later on.
