firmware: no restart on ignition

When the camera loses power for a fraction of a second, like when you start the engine, the camera takes a moment to start up and starts giving all voice messages of "sd card detected, recording start" again. The car cuts all auxiliary power when it's starting the engine.
Would it be possible to keep the dashcam from restarting?
I could wire up some electronics to buffer the power for 5-10 seconds, but you never know it can be done in software

Camera shut off automatically when it detects power lost...
 
This is normal behavior for most super-cap equipped cams. They do not have enough internal power capacity to do more than shut down properly saving the last file. They are better for dashcams in hotter climates where battery-powered cams often experience early battery failure. Just make sure the cam starts again properly before driving and you'll be OK.
