Formatting SD card in the camera

I'm awaiting delivery of my SG9665GC (due tomorrow - ordered via Amazon on Saturday). I have a few 32GB cards already and was just wondering... how long does it take to format a 32GB card in the camera?

Thanks. Upon reading that reply I assumed that it shouldn't make a difference whether (FAT32) formatting was done by any device since it was just a quick format. But after a bit of research I read that even a high-level (quick) format could be different, depending upon the device and/or OS. If so, that would explain why I always see it encouraged to format the SD card with the camera in which it will be used.

yes, only format cards in the camera, especially for larger cards 64GB and up.

There is a special 3rd party Windows FAT32 formatter utility you can use but it only works in Windows 7 for some reason. (and the developer isn't interested in updating it)
