BlackVue DR750X-2CH Plus
Just upgraded to a DR750X-2CH Plus from a DR650GW-2CH. Picture quality is significantly improved. However I used to be able to format the SDCard once a month / once a week (depending on how regularly I drove) by pressing and holding the wifi button. I can’t seem to find anything similar on the 750X. And every time I try to tell it to format the SDCard via the iOS app it fails.

There must be a simple way to clear out locked videos other than setting it to delete them when space runs out? I’d rather keep those until I’m ready to overwrite them.

Use the phone app and when you connect to the phone there is an option to format the card. Also if you put the SD cars in a reader in a computer us the Blackvue viewer app to format the card when connected to computer.

I think he was looking for a splimpest way.
But it seems that is is no more possible on 750X to format the SD card with the button on camera :

For DR750X, DR900X: The SD card can only be formatted if the firmware in the SD card is different from the camera model. Press the Wi-Fi button for five seconds until the camera gives out a voice prompt. Press the same button again for five seconds and the camera will format the SD card.

No longer possible to format the card via the Wifi button card method UNLESS there is an SD card error message prompt from the dash cam itself.
