Front & Rear Hardwire, rear cam intermittent problems

Arghh .. what's going on.

Hardwired new 512 front and rear last weekend. Seems to power up ok and no apparent battery issues but device seems to be have problems with rear cam:
- for most trips device offers menu item for rear to left or right and then selecting either image on screen is corrupt and only way to resolve is to reset which sometimes works sometime not.
- managed to get it operating for trip home this evening - recorded front and rear ok for about 15 mins of 2 hour trip
- then for 8 minutes captured loads of 2 second clips - but for rear these were just a static image from the end of the working 15 minutes

Seems to have vastest firmware installed.

Any suggestions on how to track down the cause ?

Unplug the rear camera and run it single channel for a while, if it's all good then it may be the cable or the rear camera is faulty, if there's no visible damage to the cable or connectors then the rear camera may be the issue

Seems to have vastest firmware installed.

Either it has the latest software or it doesn't. It can't "seems to have" unless you are guessing it has because it's a new cam.
If it is a new cam as implied, it is very likely that it does not have the latest software.
Tell us the installed software version for confirmation.
