New member here looking into hardwiring my first dash cam. Been scouring the internet for hours and can't seem to find someone that can explain this correctly, because i'm aware that improper installation can lead to failure. Which is the correct orientation to mount the fuses in the fuse tap, A or B? Thank you all in advance!.

It doesn't make any difference, a fuse can be used either way around, just like you can put a light bulb either way around.

The orientation of the fuse tap does make a difference, but it is best not to get into that, for a dashcam it does not make a significant difference.

You are correct to check if you don't know about these things, feel free to ask further questions...

All you need to know is that the fuse nearest the tap legs is the car fuse, the one furthest away is the cam fuse. Be sure to not tap into any safety-related circuits like ABS, brake lights, air-bags (sometimes marked "SRS") and so on just to be extra safe ;).
