Hi all !

What do you think about this one :
Is that a "real" G1W-CB ?
I find the price very low

Well, the only difference between the C and the CB is that the latter has the ring around the lens painted black, so basically what you're buying is a C. Whether it is a genuine G1W or not, i.e. Novatek + Aptina, if you believe in what the seller says then it is, but no one can say for sure.

I've ordered today, I will let you know as soon as received ;)

I've ordered this one a few months ago from them and it's real.

Thanks for information

Just got mine from gearbest and it's a genuine as far as I can tell
bitrate around 13KBps.
1920x1080@30fps
Firmware version 2015.1109.11
Tried to run mediainfo on the file and like the ones from the g1wh, it just closes mediainfo.

What's your OS? Is your K-lite Codec Pack updated?

Windows 10 x86 and x64
Using the latest media info 0.7.82 on x64, also tried 0.7.72 and it didn't work. This was an upgrade from Win7 to Win10
Weird that it's working on win10 x86 using 0.7.76.

Here is the info on the file

Yup, it doesn't get more genuine than that. :)

I was also looking at the g1w-cb from gearfest, is it correct that it doesn't have the g-sensor that you get on the original g1w?

It has G sensor as well

Thanks Chris. I only asked as it doesn't mention it in the description and also in the questions answered by the seller at gearbest actually says that it doesn't, but if it actually is the real deal version then this looks like the cheapest place to get it if you don't mind waiting for the delivery.

Don't get your hopes too high because the g-sensor function is pretty much useless in these cameras. Don't know why they even bother including it. Anyway, you can always turn it off. :)

I always set G sensor to LOW on my dashcams, in case of an accident.
On the G1W-CB, a locked file has a name like "SOSxxxx"

Even set to LOW there's always the chance you'll get a lot of locked files from potholes or bumps.

In my car, very rarely

Mine is set to off, Perhaps i'll put it on low and drive for a week to see how many files get locked. Mine is from Gearbest.

Got my G1W-C from Gearbest too and installed for the first time yesterday. Something is wrong.
It does not auto start and the screen occasionally goes BLUE.
Some files are not playable with either Window Media Player or VLAN.
32G sandisk class 10.
The video is excellent !.
Anyone else have this problem ?.
should I try to update the firmware ?.

Have you tried a different power supply or a different SD card?
Are the files that aren't playable the last file saved?
If you manually stop the recording before you turn off the car, are the recordings from the trip all playable?

The power supply is a module from 12V-24V to 5V 10A. I have tested this module prior to installation and it is 5V on the spot.
I did not put the output on a scope, I assume it is clean.
I know trouble is brewing when I use the cigarette adapter that comes with the unit, the cam turn on & off by itself.
I also tried using iPad USB power (1.2A) - same result.
Some corrupted files are in the middle & the last one.
