Garmin 55 issues

I have had a Garmin 55 parking mode cable fitted today. The camera will not power up when the key is turned on, it will not power down when the key is turned off, and I can't find the "Record while parked" setting in the camera settings. I do have the "Record after power loss" setting. This is set at 15 seconds but will not turn off at all. I had no issues with it while it was running off the cigarette lighter. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers
 
Well it had the electrician stumped but it turned out to be a blown fuse. Once he replaced the fuse everything ran as it was supposed to. Thanks anyway, cheers
