Garmin 55 Playback Software

What do people use to playback the video from their Garmin 55, as it doesn't seem to come with any in the box and I can't find anything on their website?

Also, where is the GPS data stored?
 
So I did some more Googling and found a link to Garmin player software, which I've downloaded and run. Seems OK and it would appear that the GPS data is somehow stored in the MP4 files. The only issue I've found so far is that the maps don't work.
 
I am just using VLC for video playback.
 
I use Registrator Viewer, but it can't read the GPS data. Registrator Viewer can stitch together multiple files and can indicate the difference between parking and driving videos.
