Has anyone tried this combination? I recently bought a Garmin Mini 2 and wanted remote access to the car. I bought a ZTE “pen modem” and connected it to power (temporarily a powerbank). Camera connects to wifi but I can't access it remotely, any ideas? I tested it with my home WiFi and remote access happened via the app

Welcome to the forum rafaelrosars.

I am a newbie into this connected dashcam too having just installed my first system ( 70mai A510 + their 4G modem / hard wire kit )
At first i could not get it to work with the kit failing SIM part every time, so put SIM card in a old phone where i found out it wanted me to enter the PIN code on every reboot.
Then i found out i could disable that in the security settings on the phone, i think it might be a default thing for SIM cards ( me also not having very much interest in smart phones )
Anyway that fixed me right up and with the SIM back in the 4G modem it blew strait thru the setup process.

Hope you can take something from this.

I don't think this is the problem here, since the SIM works with other connected devices, but you gave me an idea, I'm going to test this type of connection with an old phone.

The 70mai 4G and hard wire combo, it seem to be a wired connection from the camera to the 4G modem, CUZ looking at my phones for wifi i dont see any 4G wifi modem.
TBH i kinda like that VS having a 4G modem blasting all the time ( me not at all a fan of wifi, so rarely something i use )

I tested it today with an old iPhone 8 that I had here, dash camera doesn't even connect to the phone's hotspot… I'm now looking for an Android to test

@viofo you should add this remote viewing feature!

Pretty sure you need Bluetooth connection as well to pair hardware and software

The camera and client should be on the same Wi-Fi network for proper operation. Additionally, a Bluetooth connection might be necessary.
