- Viofo A129 Plus Duo 2K
So I just fitted the hardwire kit to my A129 Plus Duo in my Gen10 civic. I did a How2 on Civinfo.com for it so thought id share here.
So I had just been running my dashcam straight from the accessory socket so decided I want to make use of the parking function. I have a Viofo A129 Plus 2K camera so I purchased Viofo HK3 ACC Hardwire Kit. I also needed 2 Micro piggyback fuse links too.
Pull down the lower dashboard plastics and unclip any connector to the switches on this panel and remove the panel completely.
I also removed the dashboard side panel too.
Now you will see the fusebox under the dash. #1 is the Switched Accessory fuse, so the obvious choice for the ACC wire. #32 on mine is empty and has a constant live feed. Although the Earth point looks like its into plastic the bolt goes through to a metal bracket behind that is attached to the dashboard frame and earthed through the car, I tested it for continuity.
Fuse links and earth connected.
Next you need to remove the A pillar cover. Using a trim tool prise off this cover, there is a screw behind it.
Pay attention to the airbag and route the cable up the A pillar then behind the head lining and connect to your dashcam.
Refitting is, as they say, the reversal.
