I would get the narrow angle one if I had to buy another one... The turnoff for me is no GPS and no parking mode.I'm on the brink of buying a new (dash) camera, just not sure about the Maxi yet....
Any short and quick best choice advice? Gitup F1 seems a nice enough candidate?

Not familiar with Maxi, I have F1 with the wide lens. I've heard the new narrow one is much better. Thanks, you mean the F1 over the Maxi, right?

Currently I have two Garmin cams (55 and 56) so I am not looking for another one
It is the 130° FOV, F1.8 version that you want for dashcam use, much brighter lens:right thanks, but in what respect is the 90 degree version MUCH better than the 160? Image? Bigger license plates, better readable? Or better night recording than 160?
Any specific trusted seller? Banggood?

The only downside to the F1C is that GitUp still need to work on the auto WB. My videos have a cyan colour cast and some WB glitches.
I would choose the F1C over the Maxi if using as a dashcam.
The 160 and 90deg versions have a battery (no capacitor option) and F2.8/F2.5 lensAm I right to conclude there are 3 versions of the F1 (90/130/160 degree fov)?
The 160 and 90deg versions have a battery (no capacitor option) and F2.8/F2.5 lens
The 130 F1C version has a capacitor (no battery option) and F1.8 lens
They all have the same IMX317 sensor and A12 processor
I prefer the 4K resolution of the F1C, and the cleaner video. The Maxi does have better low light exposure and metering - the F1C can get a bit dark.
Shall I do the comparison so you can see for yourself? As you all know I'm a succer for brighter night recordings, so it sounds like to me, if I had to choose right now, my best choice would be a Maxi on caps?

It's too wet today for a driving comparison, so this is just a single frame. I'll start a separate comparison thread when I have enough footage.
F1C : 3840x2160
Maxi : 2704x1524
Comparative frame from the A129 Pro : 3840x2160
I did a night drive last night with the F1C at EV+0.3, but that seemed slightly over-exposed so I'll do it again at EV0.F1 bit darker indeed. Wonder how it looks like in a night drive...
I did a night drive last night with the F1C at EV+0.3, but that seemed slightly over-exposed so I'll do it again at EV0.
Single frame at night:
F1C at EV+0.3
Maxi at EV+0
A129 Pro at EV+0
The A129 Pro and the F1C have the same sensor & lens (but different processor), which is why I have included the A129 frames for comparison. As I said earlier, I think the F1C looks over-exposed at EV+0.3
