GitUp F1C - 4K F1.8 130° FOV

130? Wasn't this supposed to be around 90?

130 is a good angle for a 4K dashcam, and decent for a bikecam.

Some drone users might not be so keen, but they can already buy the 90 degree version, and they don't really need the capacitor.

What about the 90° capacitor version? Wasn't that the plan?

Anticlimactic, to say the least.

What do you want a 90° capacitor version for?

The capacitor is to cope with the heat in cars, and 90° would be rather narrow for a 4K dashcam, with 130° you have the resolution at 4K to zoom in to 90° and still have a decent image...

To record a narrow/narrower 4K in the car.

"Still" is not good enough, 90° will give a lot more detail. Why not release the 90° version with capacitors as well? Wasn't that the plan all along?

Making good quality M12 4K lenses is not easy, and I understand this is one reason why GitUp have taken a while to develop the F1C.

The 90° lens aperture is F2.5, whereas the 130° lens on the F1C is much faster at F1.8. The 160° lens is F2.8.

Maybe the 90° version will be updated to support the capacitor?

This 130 degree version is clearly aimed at dashcam use, where most people want around 130° and also a high speed lens, hence the F1.8 instead of F2.? on the 90° (drone) and 160° (action cam) versions.

Hopefully.

Quite disappointed, been waiting and looking forward to this one for a while. Probably they couldn't find a suitable lens.

I assume that this lens has been developed specifically for the F1C, and A129 Pro, rather than being found on AliExpress!

Recoding = transforming visual input thru the lens into digital information stored as a video file on a memory card.
And so a physical thing have been recoded into a visual representation on a storage devise. :)

you'd maybe say encoding if that was what they wanted to point out, I suspect it got lost a bit in the translation, minor issue though

device you mean :) am I being irritiating? :D

mount it for better recording-makes sense.
mount it for better recoding-makes no sense.

it has happened b4

sorry for derailing the thread.

I wonder if the F1C has removable capacitors in what used to be the battery compartment, so that a battery could be used to power the camera occasionally? It seems more likely that there is no compartment any more, and the capacitors are fixed directly to the PCB inside.

If affordable, they should hire an English speaking/writing proof reader for all the stuff they publish. Typos in web content, flyers and backdrops at exhibitions looks unprofessional.

get into China and you'll see world famous brands that have obvious typos in their marketing material, it happens at all levels
