GoPro Karma vs DJI Mavic- Which drone wins??
It’s hard to imagine that these 2 drones are being sold at almost the same price.
If you are looking for the most technically advanced drone on the market today that will fit in any bag, then you have to go with the DJI Mavic.
If you are not much into drones and you’re just looking for something simple to fly, then you’ll have a lot of great choices, like GoPro Karma, Yuneec Breeze, a bamboo-copter, or even a kite.
It’s all up to you!
It may be a little camera, but it can take a big picture, and unlike the GoPro without any fisheye!Yeah Mavic look cool
The little camera just freaked me out, its so small and most of it is gimbal.
Maybe GitUp Git2 could do a better job because it have White Balance Lock and Exposure Lock. The DJi image is flickering and this think it keep it out from a professional camera. Maybe they will improve this thing in the future. And if you don't have time to concentrate on the flying, unlike the GoPro it can fly itself with it's visual tracking system, and do a better job of keeping the target centred than most pilots! :

I never wanted an iPhone, but I dream to have a Mavic. Right now I have other priorities, I can fly a X380 and use my GitUp cameras on it.The DJI MAVIC is hot selling like iPhone 7, if you order it now, need wait about 1 month to get it.

I think the flickering is because the camera is too close to the propellers so in bright sunlight has fast moving shadows moving across the image, a disadvantage of being so compact. Even the Phantom 4 sometimes has that issue and its camera is well away from the propellers.Maybe GitUp Git2 could do a better job because it have White Balance Lock and Exposure Lock. There is a big difference in FOV between the two, the Mavic allows you to film your cycling at a distance that doesn't put you at much risk of being hit but I think it may suffer a little from camera shake as a result.the Karma does better video but the Mavic isn't far behind and smacks the GoPro about on just about everything else, if looking for something like this it would be hard to go past the Mavic

I don't think a Tesla car is a drone since drones are supposed to be unmanned and remotely controlled, although they can also carry out a pre-planned mission autonomously like the drones in a bee hive do. The Tesla cars only have a driver assistance system, which I think is currently disabled due to safety concerns.Do note i do not use the word drone, i think thats a negative word forced upon hobby quadcopter enthusiasts.
If a quadcopter is drone, then so is Tesla cars in self drive mode, and i am sure i could come up with other things.
For me a drone i something the milliary use.
https://www.wired.com/2015/12/the-secret-history-of-world-war-ii-era-drones/But one small part of the history did last: After (US) Navy admirals visited London in 1935 and saw a demonstration of an especially impressive radio-controlled aircraft called the Queen Bee, they started a research program to create their own machines. As a tip of the hat, they called them drones.
http://www.vintagewings.ca/VintageN...w/articleId/484/The-Mother-of-All-Drones.aspxGeoffrey de Havilland was a passionate amateur entomologist, and liked to name all of his early aircraft after flying insects (Tiger Moth, Fox Moth, Mosquito, and Dragonfly), so likely chose its Queen Bee name for the connection to the Fairey Queen and to the fact that it was the “B” model of the DH-82.
It is made up of a complex network of ten component groups including seven cameras — forward, rearward and downward dual vision sensors and the primary camera — an infrared sensing system, dual-band satellite positioning (GPS and GLONASS), two downward facing ultrasonic rangefinders, redundant IMUs and compasses, and a group of powerful, specialized computing cores.
Now DJI have put a 4K 60fps camera on the Phantom 4 with a 1" sensor and H265 - that is what the GoPro Hero 5 should have been!

The landing gear never is in the way unless you go into a sharp turn at 70Km/h or there is a very strong wind. When you rotate the camera, the whole aircraft rotates so the landing gear stays out of the way, the gimbal only tilts to look down|forward and rolls enough to keep the horizon level when flying sideways.Uffff 4K / 60 sound like a interesting camera solution, still not too happy with the design of the regular dji quadcopter cuz its almost like why have a nice camera gimbal when the landing gear of the quadcopter is in the way.
Wish dji would sell the cameras in another FF as action cameras.
I think it's just aperture that is mechanical, there so you don't need ND filters anymore for your 24fps video. A mechanical shutter would never work at 60fps.Freak me out its mechanical shutter and not global shutter on the sensor, i assume it cant do super fast 1080 resolutions.
C4K:4096×2160 24/25/30/48/50/60p @100Mbps
I assume that 633X lexar sd card will not cut it
