Not likely, at least newer versions all had some sort of heating problem so they would probably shut down sooner or later due to heat.
They are action cameras and so really only meant to record "short" bleeps of action, and often doing that getting plenty of cooling from the wind rushing over it.

As a GoPro user, yes. It’ll work especially when you install QR control app with the custom firmware. There are a bunch of ways that recording can be triggered (power, sound, motion, etc.). But it would definitely not be my first choice. A $20 WiFi (Wyze) camera will work better and with a much more focused function.
