gps mount

hi just a quick question has anyone had problems with the gps mount I don't take the dashcam out as a rule as I use it in parking mode but yesterday I removed due to a wifi problem which was sorted out with technical support but now when I put it back in the car it wont power on or charge battery checked the hardwire connection all fine but if I plug it straight in the dashcam all is fine is this a common problem with this mount
