My car (2016 Honda CR-Z) has the 'dotted' sunscreen section behind the mirror. If I put the GPS receiver base under that, will it impact the reception or should I avoid that when I install the 0806?

I have that as well (2011 Prius). I moved around and found the reception to be pretty much the same anywhere behind the rear view mirror. I put it as low below the dots as possible. The satellite lock takes usually 2 to 5 minutes and as long as it remembers the lock, the next time I turn on the car it is instantaneous.
