Would it be possible to change the way we get to the status screen without shutting the camera off?

Hi Lac,
the GPS tester is only used when you want to measure the lock time or signal intensity, should not effect the normal operation.
That is why it is designed to be "hold OK button and power on to enter" and "hold UP button to exit"
