In many web pages regarding the DOD GSE550 (original or clone) is written:

Data protection.
On impact, heavy braking or angle of DOD GS550 automatically protect important video files. Through this function the important files will not be deleted when re-recording a time loop.
Note: Click on the Save button, you can also change the current video that can be protected manually.

I bought one, but I cannot find the "save button": is it possible to manually protect a video?

Thank you

On mine pressing Ok does the trick.

Thank you for the reply.

I tried, but while recording to press OK is like pressing the STOP button.

I cannot lock any file (but it works if I shake the camera, with the G sensor).

Which firmware do you have? Maybe I have to update it.

thanks

No way to manually lock a file (the ok button stop the recording, but doesn't lock the file)
I tried to update the firmware, but I culdn't (not with the .ash file, not with the .elf, not with the DirectUSB program that doesn't see the cam) so... I give up!
note: my cam is a Chinese clone... but the processor is anyway ambarella (I saw it when I opened the cam to change the battery)
