Hardwire Question

Hi,

I’m wondering if anyone can help me out here.

I’ve hardwired dashcams in the past, but I’ve recently purchased a road angel halo pro (front and rear) and the hardwire kit.

This hardwire kit has a yellow (permanent live) and red (switched) cables. I’m a bit concerned using the permanent live as I don’t want it to zap the battery….

Would I be able to hard wire it just using the red cable, leaving the yellow unplugged?

Does the hardwire kit have a voltage cutoff? You can try it and see if it works. You might need to hook both the red and yellow wire up to an ACC circuit if the camera doesn’t turn on with just the red cables wired.
