I’m assuming he doesn’t use the dashcam when parked.

Can one simply hook the dashcam straight to the fusebox?

I would assume that Power Magic Pro would afford some degree of “protection...”

Yes, but if you wire it to a permanent live it will fully discharge your car battery (given enough time). Or connect to ignition switched live, but cam is only on whilst the ignition is on.

For the car battery, correct assumption. It will allow the cam to run on permanent live for either a pre-programmed time or until the car battery discharges to a preset voltage, whichever happens first.

At the moment, I’m only interested in using the dashcam while driving, not while parked.
