I spent the extra money because after 2 days of research I believed the Q800 PRO was the best option. Now of course after receiving the product I’m seeing posts about horrible image quality and Thinkware claims to be working on a fix. Should I trust this and keep the cam? It’s supposed to be installed by Best Buy this week but now I’m having second thoughts. Can I get some opinions? This is my first dash cam so I have no past experience to compare to. Thanks!

I've had one for sometime in my Smart Car and have no issues with quality at all.

Here is an example of an accident i was in taken with the Q800 Pro and the footage was very useful for my insurance:

Rear - https://www.dropbox.com/s/t88jkjsdduf52zm/EVT_2019_04_24_08_47_13_R.MP4?dl=0

Keep in mind you need to download and be watching on a screen capable of playing at least 2K footage for the Front Cam, rear is standard 1080HD

Do the camera use those lower res files for live view ? maybe OP are watching those and not the actual files,,,,, it is something others have done with other cameras.

I know the F770 Live View was reduced. In all honesty i'm not sure with the F/Q800s it doesn't look reduced at a glance but then i've never used Live View whilst actually driving...
