NVM just took a look at the GT and SG home pages and found what i need

I have both the 402G and the 412GW and much prefer the 402G as it has the compass and speed functions. I can easily take in the useful data that it presents and can assimilate the speed much more quickly on a digital display than on an old clock face speedo. Also the compass comes into play more often than you would imagine. If I'd known that the 412GW didn't have this function I'd never have bought it - I just assumed that all dash cams had this display since the data is floating around inside assuming it has a GPS which again I assumed all devices have these days. I'll have to see if Apple car play can come to my rescue when in a car with the 412GW.
