I'm RoB from Austria!
In Austria, Dashcams are not very popular at the moment.
Also its not very clear to the people if those are allowed or not.
Anyway, here we have a so called "grey area". The thing is the law which states that you must not make faces of people or the number plates public! and this is what most people here don't know at the moment.
I know for sure that the videos used from a dvr in Austria are definitely used under some circumstances if it is not really clear how an accident occured.
Now, since i had 2 accidents where some jerks cut my way and stated that it was my fault and nothing came out in front of the court and since I have bought a new car now, I'm not playing mr. niceguy any more.
This is how i landen on this page a few weeks ago.
Now i will open a new opic and hope for some help!
