How to delay screen from shutting off so soon?

Sometimes I need more time to change the settings or want to see the screen for adjustments while driving but the screen shuts off too quick and have to manually turn it on again. What settings will delay this?

5 minutes as i recvall is the longest LCD time out option,,,,, i often use this myself during the initial testing period of a new system, but after that i will use the regular 30 seconds.

I think "LCD Timeout" makes more sense then "screensaver" IMO.

The purpose of the screen being turned off via LCD Time out (which acts as a screen saver) is because leaving an active glowing video playback screen on upfront while driving is illegal in most states/places.
It also generates extra heat.

And it could potentially alert ultra aggressive people to the presence of your camera, and really a dashcam is best used concealed.
What people dont know serve them best.
