Default is ‘medium’ I believe and it seems to be just right for my camera. It went off once after I hit a large unavoidable pot hole and also once when I hit the stop pedal, hard!

Short of recreating an accident you aren’t going to know for sure, try tapping the camera whilst on the mount or take it off the mount and power it via the port on the side of the camera and then simulate a sudden stop with the camera in your hand

Set sensitivity to high, drive as you normally do, then see if you're getting a lot of locked files from bumps in the road. If you are, reduce sensitivity and try again. On really bad roads you can accept a few locked files as that is better than not getting the needed clip in a real crash situation.
