Our world is becoming increasingly technological. We have smart homes, smart cities, computers, phones, and so on. And technology is also changing the way we travel. In addition to motorbikes and cars, compact and convenient electric vehicles such as electric skateboards are increasingly popular. Everyone should have an e-skateboard at least once in their life so as not to be left behind. So what are the advantages and disadvantages of motorized skateboards? Pros of electric skateboards

Commuting with an e-board is interesting

Do you find commuting to your workplace or school boring and stressful? Well, an electric skateboard will erase this feeling. Maneuvering your skateboard around is really exciting. Motorized skateboard is designed to handle different types of terrains, even off-road.

Experience the cool breeze blowing through your hair that you can hardly experience on public transport, and your hands are completely free to create any pose you want.

Effective mean of transportation

Traveling by public transport sometimes makes you feel uncomfortable and inconvenient. Sometimes you want to stop at this place but the bus is not allowed to stop there and you have to walk back to get to your destination. If you often have this problem, an electric skateboard will make everything a lot easier and more convenient. You will no longer have to wait for the vehicle, walk to the bus stop, and you will not have to wait in long lines to buy tickets. Electric skateboards are great for transport in shorter distances such as to work or school, or to places in your neighborhood. This device gives you full control of your transport. You can go anywhere at any time you want.

Easy to use

In my opinion, electric skateboards are the easiest to use. It only takes about an hour for you to find out how the board works. The remote control plays an important role in controlling. You will use it to accelerate or to brake. Learning to ride a motorized skateboard is not too difficult. As long as you have a good balance, you can ride them.

Excellent brake features and safety

E-boards are fast, so manufacturers especially invest time and money in improving controlling features to ensure driver safety. This robust braking system allows you to stop the board quickly to ensure a safe level and limit collisions.

Cons of motorized skateboards

Expensive

Electric skateboards are much more expensive than regular skateboards. It is the electronic parts that give e-boards such a high price. Of course, you will be able to find cheaper electric skateboards in the market, but not all of them are quality.

You should prepare a budget of about $500-$100 for the first e-board. Models in this price range have good quality and last long.

Falling is the company of electric skateboarding

If you've never had any experience with board sports, you'll have to learn from scratch. Riding e-boards is all about balancing. The less balance you have, the more you will fall. No matter how professional you are, you will fall at least once on your skateboard. To make sure you don't get seriously injured in a fall, wear safety gear and learn how to fall properly.

Whenever you're learning something new, not just learning to ride a powered skateboard, a general rule of thumb is that the more you learn about it, the easier it will be. The more time you spend learning to ride a board, the quicker you can maintain its stability. To become a pro in riding an e-board, you will definitely have to go through some falls.

It is hard to personalized your e-board

With a non-electric skateboard, you can customize it to your liking. But with electric skateboards, this is not possible, because motorized skateboards have a lot of electronic parts, and all of these parts are closely interconnected. When you customize, this link between all components will be broken and lead to incorrect operation of the skateboard.

Weigh the pros and cons above before you buy an electric skateboard. Note, the above advantages and disadvantages do not apply to all models. You should do your research on the product you are interested in.

Pay special attention to the pros and cons section and the product specs. In addition, you can read more reviews of people who own the product to make a decision. The main reason for parking mode is so that the loop recording does not overwrite the important video before you have a chance to rescue it, definitely not a bandaid!

I generally use a low bitrate parking mode on the Viofo cameras, so I get full resolution and full audio, and since the car is parked the low bitrate gives perfectly good quality.

Without parking mode I would have to set a bitrate lower than maximum, then lose quality when driving!

What went wrong with your Viofo? They are not often unfixable....

Viofo’s parking mode puts files in a separate “Parking” folder and automatically changing the resolution bitrate when parked. It’s useful for knowing which clips were taken while driving and which clips were taken while parked.

It doesn’t seem like much, but it definitely helps if you wanted to review footage of the day. Otherwise, you’re stuck trying to remember what times you spent where or trying to rely on file sized if you were diligent about manually changing the bitrate and resolution each time before/after you parked.
