I am having quite a hard time installing my dash cam. It began with the headliner not having a mm of gap to stuff the cord in, followed by a weather liner that forced the cord to basically be exposed to the elements. After routing my cable to my driver side fuse box, I can't seem to find a proper ground for the hardwire fuse tap to connect to. I've attached a picture of a possible option, but want to know if it is safe to attach the fuse tap ground to it. Is it safe to hook the the ground to the tab?

thanks

a factory grounding point is often nearby the fuse panel, just finding metal under the dash is not always a good ground as very often structural parts that support the dash or interior pieces are rubber mounted for NVH reasons

That is why I asked. Unfortunately I found my fuse tap was defective anyway.it didn't want to stay in place so I'm returning it.
